A Dormered Bathroom
This postage sized, 1912 bathroom of this San Francisco home, lacked a shower area and was challenged with a downward sloped ceiling. The client requested improved storage solutions, aesthetic volume, and deference to its vintage language.
Thoughtful finish choices were selected to bridge old with new. The original tub was restored. Vintage inspired plumbing fixtures juxtaposed a modern, wall hung vanity and toilet. Subway tiles provided a classic warmth and aesthetic to the bathroom walls.
The final bathroom, efficient in its 54 square feet, created renewed comfort and a cramped and clumsy room into an elegant and uplifting, sanctuary space.
